Horn Dog

Flying Dog’s barleywine pours slightly hazy and reddish-brown with a foamy, tan head. A full bouquet tickles the nose with pleasant scents of caramel, plum and alcohol. The taste starts with a gush of sweetness; caramel and toffee notes show up first, then the beer falls into a citrus and alcohol-laden finish. Hop bitterness is strong throughout the swallow, but not overpowering. Happily, caramel sweetness and spicy bitterness both linger well into the aftertaste.
