Old Knucklehead

BridgePort’s barleywine by way of bourbon oak barrels looks the part as it pours a deep ruby hue with a playful, foamy cream head that tickles the lips. An aroma of sweet malts, with a slight roasted character, as well as skunky hops and heavy alcohol prepare the palate for a big taste experience. Heavy malt sweetness kicks off the flavor, followed by notes of bourbon, and rich cherry pits hidden deep in the profile. While the mouthfeel and rich flavors coat the palate, even bringing the tongue to a tingle, the ever-present alcohol evaporates in the back, clearing the way for another lush sip.
