Angry Angel

Angry Angel pours dark, hazy gold -- unusual for the style -- with just the faintest layer of white head on top. Bready malts peppered with earthy hops fill the nose, as barely-there hints of cherry lurk in the background. Soft on the tongue from front to back, this beer displays an abundance of sweet malts, which overshadow the faint earthy hops and tip the scale toward a heavier mouthfeel. While still an enjoyable, refreshing session beer, Angry Angel could benefit from a crisper, drier finish.
