Old Tempest Ale

RATING
83

Glowing hazy orange with mesmerizing gradient hues, Old Tempest sends a rich, candy-orange-spiked caramel-vanilla aroma up from a fleeting white head. On the tongue, caramel sweetness and toasty undertones collide with orange, grassy hops in the middle. Although a prickly bitterness shows up on the back of the tongue, sweetness overpowers the mouth and sticks to the lips. This beer will find favor with sweet tooths, although more cohesion between bitter and sweet would bump it to the next level.
