Primal Pale Ale

RATING
86

A thin, whispery white head skims the top of this golden pale ale. Toasted grain and grassy hop scents swirl together in a soft, rustic aroma, but despite the bouquet’s strong malt presence, this beer runs dry throughout the swallow. Grainy malts land on the tongue first before grassy hops blossom in the mouth. Vigorous bitterness sweeps across the tongue, leaving the mouth refreshingly dry. While more hop flavors would be a positive addition, this pale ale’s a solid entry point for the style.
